Ludhiana, Aug 11: Several senior Congress leaders today felicitated the District Congress Committee Ludhiana (urban) president Pawan Dewan. The leaders expressed their gratitude to the party high command for appointing Dewan as the president of the Ludhiana district.
Addressing the function former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Surinder Dawer expressed confidence that with Dewan having been appointed as the president, the party was certain to achieve great results. He said, Dewan had worked very hard for the party for last twenty years in different capacities.
Speaking on the occasion Dewan expressed his gratitude to the party leaders for honouring him and reposing so much faith and confidence in him. He promised that he will come up to the expectations of all the leaders and workers besides the high command. He said, he will take everybody along and all the leaders and workers will get due respect in the party.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included the District Youth Congress president Dimple Rana, District Mahila Congress president Leena Taparia, councillor Pritpal Singh Ghayal, Anil Malhotra, Raju Thapar, ex councillor Chanchal Singh, Surinder Shinda, Satwinder Jawaddi, Rajiv Raja and others.
