LUDHIANA, August 1: The Ludhiana District Congress Committee (Urban) has started mobilisation of the workers for the forthcoming political conference at Isru.
A meeting of the block presidents was held here today under the Chairmanship of the DCC president Pawan Dewan. Addressing the meeting Dewan asked them to reach Isru on August 15 in great numbers as it will mark the beginning of the war on the Akali-BJP government.
Dewan said, there was already a lot of resentment prevailing among people against he corrupt Akali-BJP government which has only looted them during last four and a half years. He said, people were waiting for the earliest chance to throw them out.
He said, the political conference at Isru will be addressed among others by the Party Incharge Thakur Gulchain Charak, PCC President Capt Amarinder Singh, Ludhiana MP and National Spokesperson Manish Tewari and others.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include Palwinder Singh Taggar, Satwinder Jawaddi, Baljinder Bunti, Sanjay Sharma, Vinod Bathla, Gurmukh Mithu, Rakesh Sharma, Baljinder Singh Sandhu, Gurpreet Singh Grewal, Jarnail Singh shimlapuri, Ajay Babbu Walia (all block presidents), Sushil Malhotra, Navneesh Malhotra etc.
